We have just received stock of a great new product made by RopeWorx.  They have new line called Ocean X and it has been developed to provide an upgrade to polyester sheets and halyards offering the benefit of reduced weight and reduced elongation thanks to the light weight HMPE (Dyneema) blended core.  It is more of a performance line made for the cruiser heading offshore or the cruiser/racers doing a bit of club racing.  It is more expensive than the standard double braid polyester cordage that comes standard with most cruising boats, but a fraction of the price of the full on Dyneema ropes. 

 Its performance quality is that it has very little stretch and is lighter in weight.  Its breaking load is similar to that of a double braid polyester so you keep to the same diameter line.   This is great as you know you can safely substitute it and it will not be slipping the clutch stopper.   We have stock in 10mm and 12mm.  It comes in solid colors and they have braided the helix flex pattern in both directions so the intersect in a X.  Hence the name Ocean X.
