10mm (3/8") OceanX" is manufactured by the renowned RopeWorx. They have developed this line for the ocean going offshore cruiser. It has a very durable, UV resistant HT polyester (Dacron) cover. Its core is a blended with HMPE (Dyneema) which has resulting in a line with considerably less stretch that the typical double braid poyester usual provided on cruising boats. What is great about it is that it is only about 50% more expensive than double braid polyesters ropes but a fraction of the price of lines with a full a Dyneema core.
