Our performance line is Southern Ropes "SuperSpeed Braid". SuperSpeed braid has a HMPE (high modulus polyethylene (often know buy the trade name Spectra or Dyneema)) core and high quality polyester core. SuperSpped braid was originally developed to have twice the breaking with a lot less stretch at half price of the full on racing high tech lines. It is aimed at the more performance orientated cruising sailor and club racers on a budget.
